Information for Students
Student-Research Preview
This session provides students with the opportunity to showcase the directions of their work, and to exchange experiences with other students and researchers from academia and industry. The Student-Research Preview (SRP) is organized as an Evening Session consisting of short presentations of work-in-progress followed by a poster session. In particular, it will provide students with:
A great opportunity to showcase the directions of their work
An opportunity to experience ISSCC quality
An opportunity to interact with others in the ISSCC community
Encouragement for future regular-paper submissions
The abstract submission deadline for SRP is October 22, 2025.

Next Generation Circuit Designer Workshop
The IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Women in Circuits (WiC), in collaboration with ISSCC 2026, invites undergraduate students, early graduate students, and young professionals (≤2 years post-undergrad) to apply for the Next Generation Circuit Designer Workshop — a one-day program designed to accelerate careers in circuits, systems, and semiconductor technologies. This immersive workshop will bring together 26 emerging talents for mentorship, networking, and career development. Participants will join a private welcome session and fireside chat with an industry leader, gain insights through one-on-one mentoring and elevator pitches, showcase their work in a competitive poster session, and then connect with peers and professionals at an open career panel.
Silkroad Award
The Silkroad Award Program of the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) is intended to promote design of integrated circuits and systems at a quality level appropriate for submission to ISSCC 2026. The winner(s) are selected from first-time student-presenting authors at ISSCC whose research is conducted in an emerging region of Asia-Pacific (APAC).
Student Travel Grant Awards:
The IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Student Travel Grant Award (STGA) program recognizes and promotes early career accomplishments in all solid-state circuits fields by supporting student travel to SSCS-sponsored conferences. Students who are members of the Solid-State Circuits Society and in a Ph.D. program can apply for partial travel to attend ISSCC. Visit the SSCS website for more information click here.
Circuit Insights:
This event is targeting third-year undergraduate students and starting graduate students in the area of circuit design, but may be of interest to new circuit design engineers as well. For more details click here.
IEEE SSCS “Code-a-Chip” Travel Grant Awards:
The IEEE SSCS Code-a-Chip Travel Grant Award was created to promote reproducible chip design using open-source tools and notebook-driven design flows, enable up-and-coming talents as well as seasoned open-source enthusiasts to travel to IEEE SSCS conferences and interact with the leading-edge chip design community, and bBroaden educational value and accessibility within the open-source chip design community, fostering a broader environment for dissemination, learning, and innovation.
