A line driver for analog video applications automatically adapts output impedance to the applied load. The circuit operates from 2.4V supply in digital 0.35um CMOS technology. The circuit adapts between 38 and 85W loads, has less than -50dB THD at 1.2Vpp for 0-10MHz, has 0.09mm2 area, and 9mW static power consumption.

A 0.15mm2 differential architecture and uses current feedback for small-signal and large signal closed-loop bandwidths in excess of 100MHz. The circuit consumes 25mW to drive a 10MHz, 5Vpp sine wave across a 50 Ohm load from a 3.3V power supply with a THD=45dB.

An instrumentation amplifier in standard CMOS uses dynamic feedback. Gain error is <25ppm without calibration or trimming. Long-term stability is less than 10ppm per year up to 200-225oC. The amplifier functions up to 300oC where leakage currents are significant.

A 3.3V, 4.8mW CMOS telescopic opamp achieves a measured differential swing of +/- 2.45V with differential gain of 90dB and >50dB CMRR. This swing is achieved by using the tail and current source transistors in deep linear region. The resulting reduction in gain and CMRR is compensated by applying differential gain enhancement and replica-tail feedback, respectively.

An AM-suppression amplifier combining transition-based AGC and hysteresis limiter achieves a jitter of 7.2o for 1Mb/s dynamic PPM input from 40mV to 400mVPP, six times better than conventional approaches. The amplifier occupies 0.64mm2 in digital 0.8um CMOS and consumes 18mW from a 2V supply.

Two fully-differential track-and-hold and quasi-sample-and-hold ICs use AlGaAs/GaAs-HEMTs. The less complex has 7b linearity. The ICs are capable of 5GSample/s at 2Vpp differential input for the track-and-hold, and 3GSample/s for the quasi-sample-and-hold.
